Here is what the roads look like across Sussex this evening (Friday, May 29).

A traffic signal failure on the B2132 Yapton Lane at Hedgers Hill near Fontwell is affecting traffic, according to the AA.

It has been reported that the traffic lights are stuck on red, which are located not far from The Black Horse Pub.

The A259, one of the main roads through the county, is experiencing heavy traffic and congestion in a number of areas in Sussex.

There is very slow traffic on the A259 both ways around A284 Lyminster Road, slow traffic on the A259 Brighton Road both ways around A2025 South Street in Lancing, and slow traffic on the A259 Albion Street both ways between A283 Old Shoreham Road and Kingston Lane in Southwick.

In Saltdean there is slow traffic along the A259 Marine Drive in both directions near the B2123 High Street.

There are further delays also building on the High Street, the AA said.

In Brighton there are delays and traffic heavier than normal on the A259 Kings Road both ways between B2185 Grand Avenue and A2010 West Street.

The AA said there is a high volume of people on the beach indicating delays are relating to people travelling to seafront.
