Drivers heading for the M25 clockwise have faced long delays this morning (Tuesday November 13), near the M23 junction, due to an oil spillage.
The entry ramp has been closed, and two lanes shut on the M25 clockwise at junction 9 A244 (Leatherhead).
There have been long delays and queueing traffic, which at one stage was eight miles long, due to recovery work.
Congestion has been as far as junction 8 (Reigate).
Reports are that a broken down crane left a trail of oil to clear up in lanes one and two.
Workmen are still on site making the area safe and there is still no access from junction 9.
