Fire crews at burst water main in Burgess Hill

Some home owners have been removed from their properties this morning after a water main burst in Burgess Hill.

Fire crews are at the scene of the affected homes in Fairefield Road, Cromwell Road and Newport Road.

A spokesperson from West Sussex Fire and Rescue has said the water temperature has been cut off to a large number of homes in Burgess Hill whilst engineers repair the main.

The fire service said they are ‘working to resolve the problem as soon as possible’.
