Motorcyclist hospitalised with serious injuries after crash in Horsham


A teenage motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Horsham yesterday (Friday February 5).

Part of Hurst Road was closed near the Pavilions in the Park Leisure Centre as a result of the collision.

The motorbike and a car were involved in the crash at about 2pm.

The 19-year-old motorcyclist was taken to East Surrey Hospital with ‘serious injuries’ at about 3pm.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the teenager was immobilised for potential back and neck injuries.

It is believed he sustained injuries to his back and ankle, though he was fully conscious at the scene, the spokesperson said.
