Horsham face a tantalising top-of-the-table clash with fellow title chaser Dartfordians at their Coolhurst Ground on Saturday.

The Green and Whites go into the encounter one-point ahead of their second place visitors for a match that could go a long way to crowning the London 3 South East champions.

There is still a long way to go this season, but it has been looking more like a two-horse race for weeks with Horsham 19 points clear of third place Bromley.

Speaking after Horsham’s win over Park House, coach Nick Stocker believed they may have been short of their normal confidence with one eye already on this Saturday.

He said: “It was a good effort all round. On paper we were expected to win comfortably but that in itself brings its own pressure and there was an element of complacency with one eye on next week.

“Ultimately I am happy that we secured a bonus point win.

“There were a number of changes to the team because of minor injuries as the new players settled in. The result maintains the momentum into the mouth-watering clash next week.”

The club is hoping as many people as possible will turn out to support them for what is a crucial game that will go a long way to shaping the title race.

Kick-off is 2.15pm at Hammerpond Road.
