Yet, this year, the celebrities appearing on the stage and ready to share with visitors their top tips are from slightly different backgrounds.

Most recently confirmed is Linda Lusardi, who shot to fame in the ‘80s as one of Britain’s best-loved models before becoming an actress, starring in both The Bill and Emmerdale and also playing alongside husband Sam Kane in Brookside.

Other TV credits include her appearance in ITV’s Dancing on Ice, where she broke her foot in training but still managed to compete until week seven.

She also surprised the British public in The Games for Channel 4. Not only was she 15 years older than her competitors, but she was the only one with two children.

Now Linda has expanded her repertoire to include her Lusardi My Miracle beauty range, which is sold on Ideal World and includes serum, anti-wrinkle day cream, night cream and cleanser.

Alongside Linda will be a knowledgeable board from Gardeners’ Question Time.

The longest running gardening programme in the UK, it is the only one given a BAFTA by the horticultural media, with programme organiser Phil Darmody describing it as offering ‘quality, education, and entertainment all in one hour’.

On hand to answer questions during the day will be Barry Gayton, from Desert Garden World, and Paul Williams, a member of the Garden Writers Guild.

Also at the event will be interior design queen, Anna Ryder Richardson.

Anna is best known as one of the designers on BBC’s Changing Rooms and for a stint in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Now running a zoo, as well as keeping her hand in with interior design, the exuberant designer will be sharing her top interior tips, look at upcoming trends and answer questions.

Alex Jenkins, editor of etc Magazine, said of the event: “I am really excited about this year’s event.

“Each year thousands of people attend the show and with it boasting a great mix of interiors, delicious food and much more, it looks set to be a huge success.”

New to the show this year will be four demonstration stages rather than one main stage.

Plus the woman’s zone has been extended and there will be a garden zone, situated on the ground floor.
