Teen fractures leg after collision in Horsham

A 17-year-old motorcyclist, from Billingshurst, was left with a fractured leg and a possible fractured arm after a collision with a car in Horsham on Friday evening (February 13).

The collision took place on the corner between Blackbridge Lane and Guildford Road, near the Coop store, at around 8.45pm.

A spokesperson from South East Coast Ambulance Service said the motorcyclist was a 17-year-old boy who suffered a leg fracture as well as a possible arm fracture.

He was checked over at the scene by ambulance crews and was given pain relief for his injuries.

The teenager was full conscious when crews arrived and was taken to East Surrey Hospital, in Redhill.

The car driver, a 19-year-old man from Horsham, was uninjured.

Police closed off the Guildford Road whilst the vehicles were removed and the road was re-opened at around 9.45pm.
