Swimmers opt for Billingshurst’s fishing lake

The problem has resurfaced, according to minutes from a meeting of Billingshurst Parish Council’s property committee on Wednesday July 23.

The minutes read: “People have yet again been swimming in the fishing lake.

“The police have been called to deal with the issue under council byelaws; the electronic sign has been updated to advise people not to swim in the lake and signage has been put up around the fishing lake and general areas.”
