Heavy rain and strong winds overnight and this morning have caused some disruption for commuters today (Wednesday October 23).

Flooding and fallen tress across the county have caused problems.

An earlier tree on the railway line in the Worthing area has caused delays on the main route between Barnham and Worthing.

A fallen tree has closed Dog Lane in Steyning between the High Street junction and the Sheep Pen Lane junction.

The A2220 Copthorne Road in Copthorne has been partially blocked between the A264 Copthorne Common Road junction and the B2036 Balcombe Road junction, because of a fallen tree.

Wallage Lane in Rowfant, Crawley Down, has also been partially blocked between the Major’s Hill junction and the B2028 Turners Hill Road junction, due to a fallen tree.

Meanwhile, the A22 Beeching Way in East Grinstead has also been partially blocked between the B2110 Lewes Road junction and the East Grinstead Station junction, because of flooding.
