Storrington pedestrian seriously injured in road collision


A 20-year-old Storrington woman suffered serious head injuries after a road traffic collision in Worthing on Tuesday (July 29).

The collision involved a grey Renault Clio driven by a 78-year-old local man which mounted the pavement and collided with the female pedestrian before crashing into a roadside traffic sign.

The pedestrian was taken from the A27 Westbound in Upper Brighton Road to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after 3pm.

The driver was unhurt.

Anyone who saw what happened or noticed the Renault shortly before the incident is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email, quoting Operation Northland.
