Storrington residents will be getting ready for the Great British Summer as a new festival comes to the village.

The cricket green in Storrington will be host to three days of live music from Friday (July 17) to Sunday (July 19), followed by two days of market stall trading and family entertainment.

To whet your appetite there will be a Beer Festival tent stocked with more than 30 regional ales, ciders and a craft beers. There will also be cooled real ale, lager and cider from across the region.

Just for the children, a kids zone will be holding circus workshops, vintage rides, laser tag and zorbing.

Artists from across the south will be taking to the stage, including bands Frankie Furlow, Mark Nelson Trio, Mantic Muddlers and solo artists Grace Wilson, Jay Hunter and Ed Goodale, to name a few.

To ease stomach grumbles, stalls will be selling food from around the world including paella, Turkish delight and cheeses, along with goodies like blankets, hand made jewellery and personalised toys.

Back by popular demand, an interactive handling display will have owls, parrots, South African hedgehogs, maras and meerkats.

Entry is £2.50 per day for those over 12 years old.

You can buy tickets from Chanctonbury Leisure Centre, The Village Florists, Wood ‘n’ Pots ‘n’ Things and The Moon Public House.

Every ticket bought will have a 50p donation made back to the parish council.
