Philip Boucherat, 55, was arrested at 2.20am on June 7 in Water Lane, Storrington, after officers were tipped off that he could be drink-driving in his Honda Jazz.
He had 107 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath – more than three times the legal limit.
Boucherat, of Oak End, Storrington, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
He was banned from driving for 28 months, fined £750 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £75 victim surcharge.
