Storrington application to be reconsidered

The controversial Melton Drive application will be reviewed tomorrow (Tuesday November 19) by the Planning Committee for a second time after its refusal in July.

Wates Development sought to gain planning permission for the development of 102 homes on land north of Melton Drive in Storrington; 40 per cent of which will be affordable housing.

Refused on the basis that it would have harmful effect on the setting of a neighbouring Grade II building, the applicant appealed its decision by Horsham District Council in August, and is now subject to a planning inquiry due to open on January 7.

The development committee meeting will take place at Park North, Horsham on Tuesday November 19, 2pm.
