Interim manager Anthony Storey believes new striker Bailo Camara will add some much-needed quality to the Horsham attack.

The 29-year-old forward made his debut in their 1-0 win over Carshalton Athletic on Saturday after joining the club from Eastbourne United last week.

Storey hailed the impact the former Eastbourne Borough and Hastings striker had in the win and insisted his arrival will take pressure off top-scorer Tony Nwachukwu.

He said: “Camara has come in and he has got that extra bit of quality in the final third. He will bring that little bit extra that we really did need, the club have done ever so well to tie him down.

“I have felt a little bit for Tony (Nwachukwu) and the more players we get in, the less pressure is on him. Going back a month there was a lot of pressure on him to go out and win the game single handed. Now there is less pressure it should allow him to and enjoy his football.

“I have a forward coming in this week and another central midfielder that will give us even more quality.”

Lewis Hamilton has been named as the club’s new captain after the departure of Ross Morley and Storey is hoping it will bring the best out of the midfielder.

He added: “Lewis Hamilton will be our new skipper and hopefully the armband will push him on. We keep saying we want more from him.

“On his day he is a fantastic player, but we have needed to get that little bit more from him and hopefully it will give him the push he needs.”
