A Chihuahua puppy who was snatched during a burglary at an Upper Beeding home has been found safe and well.
Following a break in on Friday July 13 in Priory Fields, where a passport and air rifle were also taken, and an appeal, Sussex police received an anonymous tip off that he was in a property in Hove.
Catherine Wells, from Priory Fields, the owner of the dog, called Bobby, said: “I would like to say to a big thank you to everyone who helped to look for Bobby and to those who found him. The police, media and the public went out of their way to help. We are so happy to see Bobby safe and well and can’t thank everyone enough.”
Detective Constable Faye Satchwell-Bennett said: “We want to firstly thank members of the public for their help in finding Bobby and contacting us with valuable information.
“I would still like to urge anyone with information to please get in touch, as enquiries are still ongoing into the burglary and how the puppy ended up in Hove.”
If anyone has information contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 1587 of 13/7 or alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
