Quality daffodils and a splendid display of children’s exhibits were the highlights of the Spring Show.
The judges all agreed that the high standard of entries was as expected from Southwater. The flower judge said it was a delight and he always enjoys coming to Southwater shows.
He had an extra surprise for one exhibitor, Laurie Apted, namely The Surrey Guild of Judges and Lecturers Special Merit Award. This award is in the gift of the judge and is given at his discretion; it was for a vase of beautiful tulips – high praise indeed!
Southwater Infant Academy celebrated their recent association with the S.H.S with a bumper crop of entries. The total number of children’s entries, including those from individual children was a stunning 100!
The special knitting competition produced 9 blankets for the premature babies unit in Worthing.
