Southwater school gets sporting boost

Pupils from Castlewood Primary in Southwater will kick-off the new term in style, following delivery of free Premier League Primary Stars kit for their football team.

Pupils at Castlewood Primary receive their free football kit

The school was awarded the Nike kit after a successful application through the scheme’s website.

The programme, available to primary schools across England and Wales, uses the appeal of Premier League and professional clubs to inspire five to 11-year-olds.

PLPrimaryStars.com offers teachers free resources in many subjects and chances for schools to enter competitions and access offers like the kit and equipment scheme.

Georgina Richardson, subject lead in PE at Castlewood, said: “The kit was desperately needed in our school. We are so thankful to Premier League Primary Stars. The children are really excited to represent our school.”
