Son of Pink Floyd guitarist is released on police bail

THE son of Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has been released on police bail.

Charlie Gilmour, 21, was arrested at his family home in Billingshurst on suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage of the Union flag on the Cenotaph.

The Cambridge University student made a public apology after being identified as one of those who climbed on the nation’s monument to its war dead last Thursday.

Police are still searching for other protesters they want to speak to.

Mr Gilmour has been bailed until next year.
