The entrance to a shop in Horsham town centre has been cordoned off after a roof tile became loose this afternoon (Wednesday March 2).

Firefighters were called to the Millets store in West Street just before 3pm to reports of a loose roof tile outside the premises.

The fire crew has closed a small area outside the shop for safety reasons, and to ensure the area is safe for shoppers and passers by.

It is believed the store’s maintenance team will be called to resolve the issue.

The town has been battered by strong gusts and occasional heavy showers throughout the day.
