Severe delays after elderly woman falls in Cowfold

Traffic was heavily congested in Cowfold this morning (Monday February 29) after an elderly woman fell on a main road.

The 80-year-old was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm after the fall on the A272 at about 8.10am.

The road was closed following the incident on Coach House Roundabout, but all lanes reopened at about 9am.

There was heavy congestion in the area, causing long delays for motorists - but the incident has now been cleared.
