Were you or family members at West Chiltington school in 1975?

Pupils past and present, staff and friends of the school will celebrate its 40th anniversary, on Saturday May 16 at the annual May Fair & family fun day.

The Friends of School Association (FOSA) is looking for your 1970s photographs from West Chiltington village, the school or surrounding area to display at the event.

Sarah Rose, chairman of FOSA, said: “I’m delighted with the support we get from our fantastic community and I hope they’ll have pictures they’d like to share.

“We always have a colourful event with children’s traditional maypole dancing and the Sadcase club’s classic cars, and this year is just a bit extra special, celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the school being on its present site.

“A collection of photographs will bring back memories and add to the seventies spirit.

“Other contributions from the community are welcome too.”

The West Chiltington community school May Fair is on Saturday May 16 from 2-4pm. Activities will include a BBQ and bar, bouncy castle, dancing, face painting, games, produce stalls, fantastic prizes in the groovy Grand Raffle and more. Optional dress in 1970s style. Classic vehicles welcome.
