Safe stolen during break-in at village garage

A large cast iron safe was stolen during an overnight break-in at a village garage.

Godfreys of Horsham, in Worthing Road, Southwater, was broken into between 9pm on Thursday February 4 and 7.50am on Friday February 5, police have said.

Officers said the intruder is believed to have entered the garage by forcing open a rear window.

A safe containing £500 was taken and £20 was also stolen from a cash box.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Sussex Police on [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 223 of 05/02.
