Lace up your running shoes for a charitable cause as the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile returns to Horsham Park in March.
The charity event returns to Horsham for the fifth time, with hundreds of runners and walkers set to take part on Sunday March 20.
To enter, visit Sport Relief’s website - but Horsham District Council has warned that places are booking up fast.
Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for leisure and culture Jonathan Chowen said: “I am delighted that the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is back in Horsham for 2016.
“It’s time for everybody and anybody to walk or run themselves proud. From little ones with their mums and dads, to runners up against the clock, there’s something for everyone, on this special day.”
A mass warm up will take place at 11.45am in advance of the one mile run, which sets off from the bandstand at 11.50am. Races also include three and six mile races from 11am.
For further information contact the council’s event organiser, sports development officer Stephen Denman by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
