Road cordoned off after explosion in Horsham

A Horsham road was cordoned off after an explosion yesterday morning (Sunday November 10).

Firefighters attended Worthing Road at around 4.20am.

A spokesperson for the service said there had been an explosion in an underground electricity link box.

It was smoking after the incident and firefighters cordoned off the area.

The scene was made safe before the incident was handed over to UK Power Network engineers.
