A service to mark Remembrance Sunday will be held at the War Memorial in Horsham town centre this morning (November 8).

The service will begin at 10.50am and will be led by Father David Bouskill, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, after the arrival of the parade at the War Memorial.

The two minutes’ silence, in memory of the fallen, will follow at 11am before Tricia Youtan, Chairman of Horsham District Council, will lay a wreath on behalf of the people of Horsham district at the War Memorial.

The Chairman’s Cadet Andrew Stuckey will also be in attendance.

David Copestake, Chairman of the Royal British Legion Horsham Branch and MP Jeremy Quin will then lay wreaths followed by representatives of the armed services and youth organisations.

A blessing will mark the end of the service at the War Memorial.

The Parade Marshall will call the parade to attention and they will then march to the Parish Church of St. Mary’s in the Causeway, Horsham, for the Remembrance Sunday Service.

After the service, the parade will leave the Causeway and march back through to the Carfax where Mrs Youtan and Mr Copestake will take the salute.
