TWO MONTHS ago we asked all readers of this newspaper whether we should change the format of the County Times and produce it as a compact - otherwise known as tabloid.
In addition to formal market research, every reader had the opportunity to complete a survey form in this paper.
We also produced a sample compact edition, which we handed out in Horsham as well as making it available for free collection from our offices.
There was a huge response and all the survey forms are now being professionally analysed.
Editor in chief Gary Shipton thanked everyone who had accepted the paper’s invitation to make their views known.
He said: “Everything we do is driven by a desire to produce the very best newspapers and websites for our readers.
“I always made it clear that they would determine whether we changed the shape of the paper. The decision rests with them.
“As soon as we have the full results, early in 2012, I will share these with readers and explain how we intend to implement whatever they have asked us to do - which may be nothing if a majority favour not changing.”
