A ‘delightful pair’ of Norfolk Terriers have found a loving home this Christmas in Pulborough after losing their previous owner to ill health.

Whizzy and Bramble, both six-years-old, spent six months in boarding kennels before coming to Dogs Trust Shoreham.

A spokesperson at the Trust said: “They were a delightful pair to care for and the staff were very fond of their fun characters.

“As they had lived together most of their lives we wanted to re-home them as a pair.

“Thankfully it didn’t take long for a new family to fall in love with them, and at the beginning of December they went to their new home in the Pulborough area.”

But not all dogs find the perfect home right away. As the Trust faces more and more homeless hounds, there is an outcry for volunteer foster carers to take in these lovable pets on a temporary basis.

Dogs chosen for the scheme are often in need of extra care. Due to an illness or their age, temporary kennel life does not suit them.

A home environment gives them a chance to shine and show prospective new owners their real personality.

Fostering a dog from Dogs Trust is a great option for animal lovers who want to spend time with a four-legged friend without entering into a lifelong commitment.
