Sussex Conservatives mourn death of Baroness Thatcher
Sussex Conservatives have been mourning the death of Baroness Thatcher - regarded by them as one of Britain’s greatest ever Prime Ministers.
Tributes are flooding in from across the county following her death (Monday April 8) after a prolonged period of ill health.
Mrs Thatcher - Britain’s first and only female prime minister - came to power in 1979 and her supporters say she transformed Britain from the ‘sick man of the world’ back to a superpower.
She is expected to receive a full ceremonial funeral.
