SLIDESHOW: when Baroness Thatcher met Horsham Conservatives

Former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher, who has died today (Monday April 8) aged 87, met up with Horsham Conservatives at Gatwick in 1996.

County Times Head of Photographic Steve Cobb was present to take the photos featured in our slideshow.

Steve also took the pictures in 1989 when the then Prime Minister visited Purley train crash victims.

The train had set out from Horsham station and crashed, leaving five dead and 88 injured.
