Plans to build 107 homes and a children’s play area in Thakeham have been received by Horsham District Council.
Outline planning permission has been submitted for 107 homes on land at Storrington Road, which includes up to 40 per cent affordable housing.
The proposed development also includes an informal public open space and children’s play area, surface water attenuation, landscaping, a vehicular access point from Storrington Road and associated ancillary works.
Campaigning resident Howard Brunt, of Stop Storrington Sprawl, has criticised the proposal.
He said: “The result will be a massive sprawl to the north alongside the Storrington Road towards Thakeham.
“This is yet another developer attempting to jump in before the local plans take effect.”
The application number is DC/15/2374.
