AN APPEAL has been lodged against Horsham District Council’s refusal of plans to build eight homes in Thakeham.
The scheme proposes five three bedrooms homes and three properties consisting of four bedrooms to be built on land south of Venters on Storrington Road.
The council refused to grant planning permission as ‘the proposed development would represent a cramped over-development of the site which would relate poorly to the existing built and natural environment’.
It also considered the development ‘unacceptable’ due to its ‘relatively unsustainable location with limited services’.
The appeal will be dealt with through written representations.
