Horsham District Council turned down proposals for the empty office block off Albion Way in October 2013, arguing that the planned building was ‘ugly’ and would be a ‘blight’ on the town.

While the new owners have submitted a further application to retain the existing building and convert it into 65 flats, an appeal has been lodged against the decision to reject the original scheme.

The planning inspector will decide the appeal in a public hearing.
