MEMBERS of the public are reminded there are meetings regularly held at Horsham District Council’s offices in North Street in Horsham that they can attend and register to speak at.
District councillors make policies and decisions that affect the people of the Horsham District and decide how the council’s budget should be spent.
Many detailed decisions are delegated to the cabinet, individual cabinet members and committees.
On the Horsham District Council website there is a full calendar of committee meetings.
Agendas, reports and minutes of the council meetings are also available on the website under the Council and Democracy header.
Horsham District Council records most council and committee meetings held in the council chamber through the audio system.
Meetings held in other rooms are not recorded.
Members of the public may ask questions of the leader of the council and any chairman of an ordinary committee at ordinary meetings of the council and may make representations on any specific item on the agenda.
Notice needs to be given in advance that people wish to speak and there is a time limit set for each speaker.
To register to speak at a meeting or for more information, please telephone 01403 215465 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
