Planners to probe decision to refuse 150 homes in Billingshurst

A PLANNING inquiry is to be held into Horsham District Council’s refusal of plans for 150 houses at Billingshurst.

A2 Dominion Homes has appealed over the council’s decision against the building of 47 two bedroom, 49 three bedroom, 38 four bedroom and 16 five bedroom with associated works and landscaping on land south of Groomsland Drive and Gillmans Industrial Estate, Marringdean Road.

The site is outside any defined built-up area boundary and would adversely affect the visual character of the area and the amenities of neighbouring properties, the council said.

A date for the inquiry has yet to be announced.
