Pink gift fair returns to raise vital cancer funds

The fair will run from 9.30am to 4pm each day.

Parkside is home to West Sussex County Council and Horsham District Council who offer their conference facilities and orangery cafe to raise money for the Sussex Cancer Research Laboratories.

Admission is £3, which is a direct donation to the charity as is ten per cent of stallholder’s takings and the obligatory raffle.

Alongside 60 retail therapy stalls and food and drink, this year the wellbeing section will be expanded.

Supporting that section is Total Therapy Studios, a therapy and exercise studio located in the centre of Horsham.

The studio is a fully integrated clinic that bridges the gap between medicine, therapy and exercise. It offers a chance to try yoga, pilates, talk to professionals about hypnotherapy, and more.

Sarah Dover-McCarthy, owner and practice director, said: “We are delighted to be part of this event, held in such a worthy cause. Cancer affects so many people that we see on a daily basis, both directly and indirectly.

“We feel privileged to bring our unique and experienced team together for this event to offer talks, taster classes and therapies, and to be on hand to offer education and honest advice for your complete wellbeing, especially if this terrible disease has affected you.

“If you would like to be involved in a session, try something that you haven’t tried before or just want to come and have a chat and a biscuit, we would love to see you.”

Free demonstrations include a sport/physio/acupuncture demo treatment at 10am, 30 minute clinical pilates demos at 10.30am and 1.30pm, a 30 minute yoga/yoga nidra/breath work demo at 1.30pm and 2.15pm and a posture assessment and movement screen demo at 3pm.
