Jay Jones, of Urban Explorers UK, said he made the find on a beach in the Saltdean area last year after the first coronavirus lockdown.

He said: “We were walking up the beach just looking for anything else we could find and we found that thing.

“It’s strange. Really strange.”

Jay, 40, said he had never seen anything like the ‘bizarre creature’ before. Pictures shared by the Hastings resident show a grey creature which appears to have fangs around an inch long. The creature’s body was found around 12ft up on the beach cliffs, according to Jay. This newspaper has decided not to publish the images due to their graphic nature.

He added: “[It was] about a foot long.

“It’s the fangs on it that made me think what the hell is that.

“I have never seen anything like it.”
