The famous Red Arrows flying display team met their ‘mini-me’ versions at Dunsfold today (Sunday August 25).

The world-renowned RAF team were at the annual Wings and Wheels air and motor show at Dunsfold aerodrome.

However, also on the bill were the Red Duo Formation Team with their radio controlled jets.

The quarter scale Red Arrows Hawks are remotely flown by father and son team Steve and Matt Bishop and their full-size pilot counterparts took time out to see how the models performed.

In fact, after a dismal and dull morning everyone was happy to see any planes in the air and the incredible models, costing several thousands of pounds each, entertained the crowd with a superb display.

Later on, when the clouds finally lifted and the sun made an appearance the official Red Arrows once again served up a breath-taking display that had the crowds clapping and cheering.

Today was a marked improvement on Saturday when virtually constant rain made life difficult foe the hardy members of the crowd and event organisers alike.
