Horsham school pupils praised as ‘amazing’ over coronavirus testing
Pupils at Bohunt Horsham have been praised as ‘amazing’ for the way they have dealt with coronavirus testing.
Staff at Bohunt were on site this week to welcome their students back to school after two days of lateral flow testing.
A spokesman said: “As with all schools that are setting up mass testing stations, it has been a huge challenge but the school credits the willingness and cooperation of staff and families as the reason that the process was seamless.”
And assistant headteacher Nicole Jones commended the students themselves. “They have been amazing, arriving on time, prepared for their tests and ready to get back to school to catch up on social time and experiences that have been missed during lockdown.’
She said that while Bohunt Horsham had remained open for the children of keyworkers and the most vulnerable, there had been many experiences that had to be postponed for most students.
She said that the staff were looking forward to creating opportunities to ‘build friendships and create memories now the students are returning.’
