The Weald International Enterprise

In recent weeks The Weald School has launched a student cooperative team called ‘The Weald International Enterprise’. This involves two international links with schools-one in Kenya and one in Ethiopia.

Our team is made up of students in lower years and in the sixth form. Our aim is to sell unique handmade goods that are made in Kenya and Ethiopia at our school and around the local area. We will then give a percentage of the money to charity. The goods include items such as scarves, jewellery and key rings.

Our team meets weekly and so far our team has had to organise our roles within the new business, we have decided on a business name and logo, have had to complete market research and have had to keep in contact with the partner schools.

When things take off we will likely keep in contact with video calling and Skype.

We aim to sell as many products as possible so if you know any shops in the local area that would be interested, please email Mr J Cuttell on: [email protected] or call 01403 787200.
