A term of medieval fun at William Penn School

Children at William Penn School celebrated all things medieval this term. They held a castle day with their Reception, Year 1 and 2 children to celebrate the topic.

Teaching assistant Mrs Anderson said:“The children had tremendous fun, designing their own coat of arms, learning medieval dances, icing knight biscuits and making a royal punch.”

The children used their knowledge of all things medieval especially the different people who would have lived in the castle to help them make their costumes.

There were princes, princesses, knights, servants and even a dragon! The day was over seen by teachers Miss Richardson and Mrs Jacques who took over the roles of the Coolham queen and servant!
