In thanking Horsham Lions and its local supporters, District Officer Paul said the following:

In the time that night flying of The Air Ambulance has taken place in Kent Surrey & Sussex it is clear that more than the 400 lives, the number estimated to be saved in a full year of night operations, will be saved.

As of today The 67 Lions Clubs of Kent Surrey & Sussex have already raised £200,000 of the £250,000 which was pledged only 2 or so years ago.

This is a truly wonderful effort by not only Horsham Lions but all the Lions Clubs in this District for what is a truly local and affects all our communities.

We look forward to organising another Swimarathon Event, in aid of another local Charity on Sunday 8 March 2015.

Horsham Lions Club can only continue with this type of event throughout the year if more members of the public are willing to join the existing members to help our community. You can learn more about what The Lions do by visiting the stand in Row A of The Charity Market, which is part of The Sparks In The Park Event in Horsham Park on Sunday 13 July 2014.
