Rotary cheque for Citizens Advice Waverley

The Rotary Club of Cranleigh has presented a cheque for £700 to Citizens Advice Waverley, the local branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau.

The Club President, Jane O’Leary, handed over the cheque to Kerry Payne, the District Marketing Officer of Citizens Advice Waverley.

The Rotary Club’s financial support for this essential local charity was made possible by a highly successful quiz night, which was held in late April.

“Citizens Advice Waverley were very appreciative of our efforts,” said Mrs. O’Leary. “We were delighted to able to help, since all money goes to keeping the office running in order to offer assistance to the Cranleigh residents who find themselves in need of advice and direction - not only financial but for all sorts of services, such as trading standards, identity theft etc.”

“We would like to thank everyone who supported the quiz evening, with special thanks to Malcolm Keeping, Jane O’Leary, David Reed and John Menlove, who did a sterling job on the night,” said a CAB spokesperson.
