Right to decline ‘Ministry of Truth’
Theo Cronin’s excellent ‘non-interview’ with the town centre manager about the Piazza Italia (‘Gagged by bureaucratic and myopic over-controlling District Council’ March 28) was far more revealing than the actual interview would have been if Horsham District Council had not blocked it.
Mr Cronin is to be commended for his integrity, both in declining the council’s condescending offer of an interview with their own ‘Ministry of Truth’, and also for using the resulting void to expose the stupefying arrogance and contempt this council now displays towards County Times readers.
And the Conservatives wonder why they are haemorrhaging votes to UKIP!
