Record results for Glebelands students
Glebelands students were celebrating the best ever GCSE results that the school has seen with 78% achieving five or more A*-C grades, 70% five or more A*-C including English and Maths and 29% of all grades being awarded at A or A*.
Three students achieved A* grades in all 11 subjects which is a fantastic achievement.
Headteacher Anne Hutchinson said: “We are thrilled with the outstanding success of our students and it is well deserved as they worked so hard. It is the third year in a row that the results have improved and this demonstrates that Glebelands continues to provide high quality education to the young people in Cranleigh and the wider area, and more importantly that our students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.”
She added: “Our success is grounded in the strong relationships fostered at this school, the unstinting dedication of all our staff and the ongoing support of our parents. The Governors and I would like to thank students, staff and parents for a great year and wish our class of 2015 all the very best for the future.”
