The competition attracts entries from both state and independent schools that compete to represent our region at a National competition in May.

Rudgwick gained 2 gold medals and a bronze which is an outstanding result in such a high level competition.

The gymnasts performed an individual floor routine and 2 vaults in front of a panel of judges and a packed audience. Special mention must go to William Haynes, year 2, who gained the highest mark in his team for his floor routine, and also to the girls’ team who competed amazingly to gain the bronze medal in their category.

Congratulations to the teams as follows:

Gold medallists in the National level mixed team competition (and going on to represent SE England at the National Finals) – Jay Bicknell, Joshua Lalley, Ella Hannyngton, Charley Bargman, Poppy Griggs.

Gold medallists in the Regional level mixed team competition – Jack Barnett, William Haynes, Sophie Morris, Maisie Walker, Amber Short, Caitlin Sullivan

Bronze medallists in the Regional level girls team competition – Evie Archibald, Ruby Walker, Lucy Kirk, Gracie Stonehouse, Abigail Watkins

The school is delighted with the results and look forward to more outstanding achievements at the National finals.
