LETTER: Shame to lose famous landmark
I see the Shelley Fountain water feature is broken again.
Even though I dislike it, it is undoubtedly one of Horsham’s most famous landmarks and it would be a shame and a waste of money for it to be removed completely.
I think therefore that it should be drained, the globe lowered permanently and planting installed where the water used to be. Then it would become an attractive feature of the town, not cost much money to maintain and the problems of water/pumps breaking down fixed forever!
