LETTER: Provide housing and jobs in North

I am simply appalled at the news that Mayfield should say how many houses should be built. How has a development firm whose sole idea is to make money, have the right to dictate their ideas over councils’ plans?

The South East of England is vastly overpopulated as it is. The roads are full to overflowing and each new house will have at least one car.

It is time that plans were made to provide housing and jobs in the North and leave the South with some countryside and wildlife. I hope that no-one will take notice of Mayfield.
