The penny seems to have dropped in Brussels over the impact of renewable energy targets, which they have finally abandoned due to their impact on energy costs.

However, that is nothing compared with the increased probability of power failure disruption, caused by the blind drive for wind and solar energy, whilst closing down conventional power plant, without adequate back-up.

Unfortunately those in Brussels seem oblivious to the unintended consequences of their targets and they really do need to move on by factoring in the potential cost of power failure.

Indeed they would do even better by delegating decisions to those who understand the Laws of Physics.
