LETTER: Our thanks for Fred’s service
In a recent County Times there was an obituary of the Horsham musician Fred Woods.
One of my parishioners told me that for many years Fred turned up at Slinfold to play the Last Post and Reveille on Remembrance Sunday outside St Peter’s Church.
We never saw him any other time, but, apart from last year, when I presume he was ill, he was always there on that day.
On behalf of the parish, I would like to record our thanks for his service and send our condolences to his family.
