LETTER: Money flowing away from UK
The recent article from Frances Haigh is completely at odds with the stance of the Liberal Democrats with regard to pensions. ‘A decent income in retirement for pensioners is central to the Liberal Democrat vision of a fair society.’
By favouring the second runway at Gatwick she is pouring hundreds of millions of pounds into the pockets of Californian, South Korean and Australian pension funds; money that should be going to the UK government in taxes for UK pensions and pensioners.
Perhaps she would like to explain how giving away hundreds of millions of pounds to a foreign tax avoidance company meets the Liberal Democrats’ objectives.
